This unique position runs from now through March 2026, with potential for extension, offering part-time hours tailored to your needs—ideally 10-15 per week. Your expertise will provide critical support and balance a growing district-wide caseload, ensuring every student receives the specialized attention they deserve.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf certification (or eligibility)
• Experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ideally in a school setting
• Strong communication and advocacy skills, with a collaborative mindset
• Comfort with flexible schedules and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs
• Familiarity with current strategies and technology for D/HH education

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the current Teacher of the Deaf to ensure high-quality coverage across the district
• Consulting with the district to help determine caseload and school assignments that suit your strengths
• Delivering direct specialized instruction, supporting IEP goals, and advising staff on deaf/hard of hearing strategies
• Participating in team meetings and maintaining documentation as needed
