Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience in large Labor and Delivery units/facilities - 3s/4s in postpartum, baby nurse, and meconium deliveries Description: The role involves providing care in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:2. The position may require floating to antepartum and postpartum units. All nurses will be required to respond to on-call needs. Weekend work is not specified but may be needed based on scheduling. Experience circulating for C-sections, AROM, and medically assisted deliveries is essential. The facility offers a range of support services, including IV teams and social services. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, and adults. The unit handles various obstetric diagnoses and has specific procedures like cerclage and C-hyst. The candidate must have skills in external fetal heart monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. This position requires strong communication and teamwork abilities.
