Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities

• Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and create customized therapy plans to help them achieve their functional goals.
• Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Use evidence-based practices to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other OTs, physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide training and guidance to patients and their families for continued progress at home.
• Monitor and Document Progress: Track patients' improvements and adjust therapy plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

Requirements

• Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in CA.
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.
• Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred. New grads encouraged to apply.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with patients and families.
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse patient needs in fast-paced environments.
