Maintenance Mechanic

Role and Responsibilities Hands‑on mechanical repair and maintenance services for machinery, equipment, and infrastructure across the plant. Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of a wide range of building equipment, production machinery, HVAC systems. Installation, repair, troubleshooting, predictive and preventative maintenance of pipe fitting, welding, millwright, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, refractory brick, plumbing. Operates hydraulic and pneumatic systems; demonstrates basic electrical skills and safety protocols. Lathe turning, setup of milling machines, use of precision machine tools for crafting, modifying, renewing machine components to exact tolerances. Design, construction, maintenance, repair of mechanical systems including pumps, boilers, furnaces. Fabrication and assembly work, interpreting sketches, patterns, blueprints, conceptual designs. Maintain clean, organized work area; adhere to safety practices; minimal supervision; guidance and training to fellow employees as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a maintenance crafts‑person in manufacturing applications. Expertise in electrical, fabrication, assembly, repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pipe fitting, welding, millwright, carpentry, sheet metal, rigging, plumbing, machining. Familiarity with safety, environmental, maintenance and quality guidelines, standards, codes, and procedures. Effective reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Willingness to work flexible hours: shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime. Ability to operate in potentially hazardous environments with respiratory protection. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP PM (or similar CMMS). Compensation Starting hourly wage of $40.00+.
