Position Summary - Advanced Production Associate

The Advanced Production Associate supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Advanced Production Associates may be assigned to different lines, machines, or departments based on business needs and are expected to cross-train and flex to other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned production tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently, meeting quality and output expectations for the Advanced Associate skill tier.

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, as trained and authorized, to move raw materials, finished goods, work-in-process, pallets, and supplies throughout the facility.

• Pull, stage, replenish, and deliver materials needed to support production schedules, work orders, shipping activities, and internal customer needs.

• Set up, operate, or assist with operation of manufacturing equipment or workstations, following standard work instructions and documented procedures.

• Monitor product and process quality, identify defects or irregularities, and take appropriate action to correct or escalate issues.

• Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision, using job knowledge to prioritize work and solve routine problems.

• Support team goals by assisting peers, sharing job-related knowledge, and flexing to different tasks or areas to cover business or staffing needs.

• Consistently follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements; promptly report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents.

• Maintain accurate production counts and basic documentation and communicate effectively with leads and supervisors about status and issues.

• Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S/housekeeping expectations.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Meets Advanced Associate tier expectations in:

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic production paperwork.

• Basic math skills and ability to use measurements, gauges, or simple tools as required by the area.

• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. throughout a 10 shift, and perform repetitive manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to cross-train and work in different departments, on different equipment, and work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed to support production requirements.
