Details Work in the Oncology Clinic setting Provide care to patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses including breast, lung, colorectal, blood, and other malignancies Patient ratio of 1:7 Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM No weekend requirement No float requirement No call requirement Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC Preferred certification: OCN Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, port access and management, and central line care Experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred Experience recognizing and managing side effects of chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred Phlebotomy skills preferred Experience in outpatient oncology and infusion center settings preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Additional Information Deliver direct patient care including infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, and monitoring for treatment side effects Provide patient and family education and psychosocial support Utilize strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced oncology clinic environment Navy blue scrubs required Maximum RTO of 5 days permitted during assignment Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments First-time travelers will not be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-746412.
