Warehouse Inventory Clerk (Decatur, IL)
Job Description
We are seeking a Warehouse Clerk for Inventory Counting to join our team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our physical inventory across multiple locations within our facility. This role involves both hands-on inventory counting and utilizing technology to document and report findings.
Responsibilities

• Spend 80% of the time walking to various areas of the facility to locate physical inventory.
• Use a Reach Truck 10% of the time to locate and count physical inventory.
• Work at a desk for 10% of the time, printing inventory sheets and documenting findings.
• Receive a list of part numbers, print sheets showing their locations, and check for any physical inventory discrepancies.
• Count inventory at multiple locations throughout the facility.
• Use a Reach Truck daily, with harnessed operation, and potentially operate small battery-operated carts.
• Work with laptops, using Excel and internal databases to manage spreadsheets.
• Communicate findings daily via email and messenger.
• Send daily inventory reports to the manager.
• Report discrepancies to another team for further analysis and adjustment.
• Maintain high accuracy in inventory counting.
• Participate in special projects and be open to various tasks within the inventory team.

Essential Skills

• Experience with forklifts and inventory management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting.
• Experience in manufacturing and inventory control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Computer use and data entry proficiency.
• Ability to learn and operate a reach truck daily.
• Audit and quality experience is beneficial.
• Comfortable working independently on a manufacturing floor

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
