Shipping & Receiving AssociateWage: $21.00-$24.00/hourShift: 1stHours: 6:00am-2:00pm, During busy season 5:00am-3:00pmQPS Employment Group is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.Shipping & Receiving Associate Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Accurately enter, review, and verify information using various computer systems and softwareCommunicate with trucking companies, customers, and internal departments to coordinate pickups and deliveriesLocate, pick, pack, stage, and move materials using appropriate material-handling equipmentLoad and unload delivery trucks safely and efficientlyMaintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory is properly stored and accurately accounted forPerform cycle counts and complete supporting documentation to maintain inventory accuracyAssist with training new employees and provide appropriate feedback to the Warehouse ManagerParticipate proactively in continuous improvement initiativesFollow all established safety procedures and safe material-handling practicesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform other duties as assignedShipping & Receiving Associate Requirements:- High school diploma or GED- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, or material handling- Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment- Computer proficiency, including experience with Excel, Bartender, SAP Business One, or similar systems- Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles- Strong mechanical aptitude- Experience using a variety of hand tools- Working knowledge of cycle counting and inventory accuracy procedures- Strong organizational and communication skills- Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and regular activity on the shop floor- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods- Frequently use hands to manipulate objects, tools, equipment, and controls- Regularly bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach- Ability to reach above shoulder level as needed- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance- Ability to lift and move heavier materials, up to 100 pounds, with assistance and appropriate material-handling techniques- May move materials short distances within the facility- Close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision- May work in varying seasonal temperatures and may occasionally be exposed to manufacturing fumes or by-products- Must follow all facility PPE requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves and clothing, and other protective equipment as required- Safety-toe or closed-toe footwear may be required based on facility safety policies- Some computer-based work may require periods of sitting and the ability to maintain close vision and adjust focus- Occasional travel may be requiredIND103 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
