Assistant Project ManagerThe Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in delivering safe, quality projects within budget and on schedule in accordance with Rabren Best Practices. This position manages assigned project processes and scopes, coordinates documentation and procurement, and supports financial management and closeout.Best Practices & RelationshipsManage assigned scopes and project processes under the direction of the PM or SPM; coordinate with field leadership and subcontractors.Build productive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and design professionals; communicate issues and follow through on commitments.Review contract documents for assigned work; identify scope gaps, conflicts, and decisions requiring PM or SPM direction.Assist with project setup, planning, budgeting, and startup requirements.Procurement & ContractsAssist with buyout and subcontracts; coordinate trade partner qualification, approvals, and compliance records before work begins.Track submittal approvals, long-lead items, and deliveries; coordinate with the Superintendent to address delays.Financial ManagementTrack subcontractor change requests, pricing, approvals, billings, and correspondence; assist with preparing change orders and pay applications.Support weekly and monthly job cost reviews, invoice coding, and cost projections for assigned work; raise potential overruns promptly.ScheduleAssist with schedule updates and progress evaluations; identify constraints affecting assigned work and follow up on resolution.Coordinate submittal reviews, procurement deadlines, and material deliveries with the project schedule; follow up on decisions affecting assigned scopes.Safety & QA/QCSupport the project safety plan and QA/QC requirements; coordinate assigned inspections and follow up on documented deficienciesCoordinate LEED documentation and compliance requirements when applicable to the project.Daily Reports & DocumentationManage the RFI process and assigned submittals, including review, routing, tracking, and follow-up to meet schedule requirements.Maintain current drawings, specifications, revision logs, and project records in Procore or approved systems.Organize assigned meetings, prepare agendas and minutes for PM review, and track action items; supplement daily reports and progress photos as needed.Coordinate assigned punch list and closeout activities with subcontractors to meet contract deadlines.Collect warranties, operating manuals, record documents, and turnover materials; support final accounting and assigned warranty follow-up.Other DutiesThis description does not cover every activity, duty, or responsibility required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.2-5 years of commercial general contractor construction experience.Understanding of building processes and systems for moderately complex construction projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.Valid driver's license.Preferred QualificationsLEED AP and/or Certified Construction Manager certification.Experience with construction management software such as Procore and construction ERP accounting software such as Viewpoint.Experience with scheduling software and BIM modeling.OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR.Ability to communicate in Spanish.Rabren Success Factors and Team ExpectationsDrive for Results, Strive for Improvement, Create Trust with Character and Action, Team Up, Solve Complex Problems, and Build People.Humble: Put the team first, welcome feedback, and share credit. Follow Rabren policies and processes in supervisory activities. Establish goals and development plans with direct reports and monitor their progress and contribution to Rabren.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWork in office and construction jobsite settings, including time outdoors.Walk or stand for extended periods.Lift or move up to 50 pounds.Navigate areas under construction involving stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting.These duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.Hours and TravelFull-time position. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work is required as job duties demand.
