Night Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Night Shift Maintenance Technician Tower Components, Inc., a fully owned subsidiary of Evapco is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for the night shift to help support our growing business. This position has the primary job function of maintaining, repairing and installing various manufacturing equipment used to produce PVC cooling tower products including but not limited to Thermoformers, Extruders, Cutter/Stackers, Glue Machines, Vertical Bandsaws, Forklifts, etc. Major Areas of Responsibility Maintain, inspect, and repair all production machinery, equipment and vehicles Advanced troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic failures Maintain, repair, and rebuild forklifts, man‑lifts, company vehicles, cranes, etc. Must train any less experienced maintenance personnel Identify process bottlenecks and recommend solutions Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5‑S, and productivity success targets Attend training courses as directed by management May perform other duties, as assigned Emergency maintenance calls during on and off shift hours Complete maintenance requests and work orders Perform plumbing, welding, electrical and construction type projects Need to be available during all snow events Performs scheduled PMs on a regular basis on production machinery, vehicles and forklifts, etc. Be involved in mechanical diagnostic type work until finding the issue and then document in SharePoint Maintain a neat and orderly work area, parts supply and toolbox at all times Job Requirements Must be able to think through problems and stay with them until they are resolved Must be self‑starter, motivated and able to work alone or with other teammates Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day‑to‑day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethic Willingness to learn Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained Must have and maintain excellent work attendance Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5‑S, and productivity within areas of responsibility Advanced understanding in industrial electrical (120/277/480 volts), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic theory Must have fabrication skills, know how to weld, grind, plasma cut, run a torch, etc. and able to read drawing packets including electrical schematics Understanding and proper use of various measuring devices such as micrometers, dial calipers, electrical multi‑meters, vibration meters, sound meters, pressure meters, etc. Basic shop math (i.e., add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions) Familiar with common hand and power tools High School diploma or GED equivalent, vocational school preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing, office, and outdoor environments Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday Maybe required to work above ground at heights up to 40 ft.
