Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including urgent or emergent situations.
- Assist with emergency scenarios and circulating for cesarean sections as needed.
- Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in accordance with scope of practice.
- Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans; monitor maternal and fetal status; document findings in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families, provide emotional support, and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other team members to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (California) or eligibility per standard state requirements.
- Relevant obstetric nursing experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced labor and delivery setting.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, document accurately, and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Comfort working in a 12-hour night shift schedule and handling emergencies as part of a patient-care team.
- Strong teamwork and delegation skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate with ancillary staff within scope of practice.
