Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled MedSurg RN to provide compassionate patient care on Orthopedics, Neuro, and Pediatric floors. This 13-week assignment with potential for extension offers night shifts with minimal time off request, ideal for experienced candidates seeking stability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care in MedSurg, Ortho, Neuro, and Pediatric units, adhering to clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and perform IV starts in accordance with best practices.
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and update physicians as necessary.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and certifications throughout shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with proof of compliance; pending licenses accepted with processing proof.
• Possess at least one year of recent MedSurg experience; travel experience preferred.
• Certified in BLS; IV start skills required.
• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7.
• Demonstrate flexibility with holiday and holiday season RTO restrictions.
• Be able to provide references, updated skills checklist, NURSYS, and driver’s license verification.
