Equipment Tech – Full Time, Evenings 3pm-3am, ED, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center Morristown, NJ, United States Job Summary Assist the department by using critical thinking skills. The basic workflow involves ensuring that critical carts and patient care equipment are ready and available for patient use, including equipment, supplies, and necessary items to complete carts and process patient care equipment. Responsibilities Daily rounding, inspecting the conditions in each room and area. Conduct daily audits of specialty equipment and assets. Maintain constant communication with the Charge RN for each area and Assistant Nurse Managers. Escalate immediate plant or operational issues as needed. Maintain organization and continuity of clean utility rooms and alternate storage areas. Troubleshoot and initiate repair of faulty equipment (Clinical, ISS, etc.). Maintain and remove equipment from service when necessary. Collaborate on Joint Commission preparation and compliance. Interact with the Strategic Sourcing Buyer regarding manufacturers, vendors, and status of various POs. Supply requisitioning, including recording supply orders, status, and receiving, while managing operational budget. Check special‑order supplies daily and maintain adequate inventory. Maintain disaster preparedness and awareness. Use Outlook and Excel proficiently. Remain compliant with mandatory training and OMS requirements. Perform other tasks or assignments as required to meet departmental needs.
