Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Checkpoint in Chester VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology media and telecommunications location you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access screening visitors and/or materials and maintaining a professional welcoming presence. You will communicate clearly provide exceptional customer service and help address security-related concerns through teamwork and integrity. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors contractors and delivery personnel at a technology-focused facility by carrying out site-specific procedures access-control requirements and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees visitors contractors packages and deliveries in accordance with established entry procedures; verify identification credentials and authorization before permitting access.
• Operate screening equipment and follow established protocols for prohibited or restricted items escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas entry points loading areas and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
