Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate required
• Solid understanding of special education procedures and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Experience teaching PreK and/or Kindergarten students
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other educators and support staff
• Commitment to providing differentiated instruction and tailored support to diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for PreK/Kindergarten students
• Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ growth and achievement
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education procedures
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress

This part-time role typically spans 4 hours per day, 4 days per week, offering the flexibility needed to maintain both professional fulfillment and personal well-being.
