Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to oversee the bidding and execution of our steel erection projects. This role combines accurate cost estimation with hands-on project management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for steel erection projects, including materials (If needed), labor, equipment and subcontractor costs.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to develop competitive bids.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from pre-construction to completion.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with schedule, safety regulations and quality standards.
Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and resolve project related issues.
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management in steel erection, structural steel, or related construction fields.
Strong understanding of steel erection processes, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field. (preferred but not required)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
