Location : North Canton, OH 44720

Sh ift : 1st shift 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Description:

Position Summary :

This individual plans, writes, illustrates, and releases assigned documents (following the published standards) working with Product Management, Technical Writers, Design Engineers and Service Engineers.

Essential Functions :

Applies existing education and work skills to the development and support of Technical Documents for hardware products. Specific duties include:
Researches, writes, distributes document drafts for review.
Attends product meetings, as required.
Provides scheduled status reports, as required.
Develops technical illustrators, as required.
Prepares illustrations for technical publications and desktops using current methods and tools.

Required Skills and Abilities:

An associate's degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism or Engineering.
A minimum of four years' experience as a technical writer.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills:

Background or training in Electronics or Electromechanical Technology.
Experience in using Arbortext XML editor is a plus but not required.
Experience in using ST4 editor is a plus but not required.
Working knowledge in using Visio, Isodraw, CorelDraw, and Photoshop is a plus but not required
