Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a per diem Neonatologist to join their expanding team in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing exceptional care for neonates across multiple St. David's Healthcare System facilities. The position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant, rapidly growing city known for its tech-driven economy and high quality of life.Practice InfoExpanding team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitionersSt. David's Medical Center: 65-bed, Level-IV unit with neonatal surgical services and approximately 4,300 newborn deliveries per yearSt. David's Women's Center of Texas: 57-bed, Level-III unit (expanding to 80 beds) with approximately 8,000 newborn deliveries per yearSt. David's North Austin Medical Center: Level-III NICU with advanced imaging procedures and pediatric medical sub-specialtiesSt. David's Round Rock Medical Center: 12-bed, Level-II unit with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn servicesSt. David's South Austin Medical Center: 10-bed, Level-II NICU with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn servicesResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional care for neonates in the St. David's Healthcare SystemWork collaboratively with neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitionersCompensationPediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practiceMalpractice insurance covered for this W-2 per diem positionBenefitsEmployee AssistanceRequirementsBoard Certification in Neonatology requiredActive TX license or IMLC license preferredA minimum of 1-year post-fellowship clinical experience requiredRecent Neonatologist experience required (within the past 12 months)
