PRN Registered Nurse (Specialty)

Public Health Registered Nurse ConsultantOur client is looking to hire a Public Health Registered Nurse Consultant.Key Responsibilities• Review submitted PAEs, Medicaid medical eligibility applications for level of care determinations for approval or denial for LTSS programs utilizing clinical expertise.• Decisions must be made in accordance with client rules.• Ensure compliance with Federal PASRR regulations with adjudicating PAEs for CHOICES program, specific to those seeking to resident and receives services in a nursing facility.• This also includes adjudicating skilled service requests, Enhanced Respiratory Care requests, safety requests, and target population decisions.• Transcribe approved PASRR determinations from the TMED system into the PERLSS system to allow for additional enrollment and eligibility actions to be taken on completed records.Requirements and Skills• Must have a bachelor's degree in nursing and experience equivalent to four years of full-time increasingly responsible professional nursing work.• Must have a current RN License approved to work in the State of Tennessee.• Must have 4-6 years' experience identifying PAEs.• Must have 4-6 years' experience caring for LTSS patients.• Must have 4-6 years' experience working in a TMED role.• Must have 4-6 years' experience in PASRR and PERLSS systems.• Proven technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet specific timeframes and deadlines with minimal supervision.• Excellent verbal and written communications skills• Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.• Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsOther Important Information• The position is onsite in downtown Nashville, TN.• The position is contract for 12 months with an opportunity to be extended.Location RequirementsCandidate must be local.Background VerificationMinimum Verification Requirements - Please complete the following verifications with Info Cubic upon candidate's selection.
