BookkeeperThis position is responsible for all store bookkeeping. The Store Bookkeeper enters all accounting transactions and prepares and communicates financial information to the corporation.Responsibilities/Duties:Responsible for all store bookkeeping. Oversee cash management procedures. Prepare and make bank deposits. Control store cash, credit card, and check inventories.Accurately complete store paperwork, post shift analysis, process invoices, and make computer bookkeeping entries to track A/P, A/R, posting of payments, and all aspects of accounting for the store.Ensure accuracy of weekly payroll, which includes the proper editing of time cards when necessary, using the appropriate charge codes, and submit weekly.Prepare and consolidate month-end financial information and report to Harms Oil accounting for inclusion in the company's financial statements.Assist store manager in ensuring accurate stock levels by performing precise cycle counts and ordering of product and supplies with a computer and/or handheld device. Review the results on the store's computer and/or handheld device and make the necessary changes.Ensure execution of established security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, and practices listed in training materials and other publications.Operate the cash register as needed.Perform other duties as required or requested.Essential Physical Functions: Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Associate's degree in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential information.Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following: exceptional customer service, relationship building, effective communication, and the ability to multitask.Ability to partner and collaborate with the management team and associates.Leadership strengths are demonstrated by holding people to high standards and modeling positive behaviors and values.Ability to learn and utilize the store's computer applications.Full-Time Benefits:Health InsuranceVision InsuranceDentalVision Bonus Opportunities401(k)In addition to the benefits listed above, this role includes eligibility for our Profit Share Program, which rewards team performance and store profitability.
