Nurse Practitioner | Family Practice Location: Fort Polk, LA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Quick Facts • Specialty: General Medicine-NP • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Fort Polk, LA • Service Setting: Outpatient • Reason for Need: Supplemental • Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical only • Shift Schedule: 2 days per week; PRN - Half day (4 hrs) or - Full day (8 hrs) • Duties/Skills: - Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension Exams & Separation Health Assessments. - Familiar w/ Musculoskeletal, Diabetes & Cardio; Use of Goniometer required. - Proficient in METs testing, evaluating & diagnosing respiratory & cardiovascular. - No prescribing, no treatment. • Other Info: - Willing to accept: FM/IM/Orthopedic Surg/anyone w/ General Med OR compensation & pension experience. - Exams are primarily interview-based w/ some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) - Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) - Evaluations to be completed in VES' provider portal - Follow-up admin work will be req on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions & reading diagnostics); Unpaid. • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered Requirements: • Active LA license • AANP • Own a laptop (No MACs/Apple products) • DMA Certification/willing to obtain • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating & diagnosing respiratory & cardiovascular. • With own office within 50 miles of the location • CV w/ current home address listed • Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) • Copy of ECFMG cert (if attended school in a diff country)
