THE POSITION

The District Training Coordinator within the Department of Transportation plays an important part in helping employees grow and succeed. You will utilize your organizational skills as you guide learning efforts, support professional development, and strengthen skills across the district. Working with various teams to deliver training that will keep operations strong and effective. This is an excellent opportunity to support others while building your own career.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will lead the district training program and support performance efforts that help employees meet operational goals. Working with many partners, you will deliver training, track progress and strengthen organizational improvement. As a District Training Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:

• Training Coordination: Manage district and county training programs and serve as liaison with central office training divisions
• Course Facilitation: Present, facilitate, or coordinate required trainings and technical sessions for employees
• Program Management: Use learning systems to schedule courses, track participation, and maintain accurate records
• Employee Development: Support trainee programs by coordinating rotations, monitoring progress, and communicating with supervisors
• Performance Support: Assist in collecting data, supporting business plans, and promoting improvement initiatives
• Engagement Activities: Help develop efforts that increase communication, involvement and recognition across the district

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
• This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS)
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Management Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
