CPAY Staffing & Recruiting is growing, and we're looking for a motivated Staffing Specialist to join our team and specialize in recruiting for manufacturing, warehouse, production, and skilled labor positions throughout the St. Louis area.

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role for someone who enjoys talking to people, solving problems, and making things happen.

As a Staffing Specialist, you'll work directly with job seekers to understand their experience, skills, availability, and goals, then connect them with employers looking for dependable talent. You'll recruit for positions ranging from entry-level production and warehouse roles to experienced machine operators, forklift operators, maintenance technicians, skilled trades, and other industrial positions.

Previous recruiting experience is not required. We'll teach the right person the staffing industry and how to recruit effectively.

What matters most is your drive, communication skills, work ethic, persistence, organization, and ability to connect with people.

Schedule & Availability

Our regular office hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Because staffing involves supporting people and businesses whose operations often extend beyond traditional office hours, there may occasionally be situations that require responding to a candidate or client phone call, text, or time-sensitive issue during an evening or weekend.

This is not intended to be a regularly scheduled evening or weekend position. However, the successful person in this role will understand that staffing can be time-sensitive and will be willing to provide reasonable flexibility when an urgent situation requires attention outside of normal business hours.

Compensation

$20.00$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Commission opportunities in addition to hourly compensation

What You'll Do

As a Staffing Specialist, you'll manage the day-to-day recruiting process for light industrial and skilled labor positions, including:

• Recruit candidates for manufacturing, warehouse, production, distribution, skilled labor, and related industrial positions
• Source candidates through job boards, our applicant tracking system, referrals, social media, networking, and other recruiting channels
• Conduct high-volume outbound calls and texts to connect with prospective candidates
• Interview candidates to understand their work history, skills, shift preferences, transportation, availability, pay expectations, and career goals
• Evaluate candidates for positions such as production associates, warehouse workers, forklift operators, machine operators, assemblers, maintenance technicians, skilled trades, and other industrial roles
• Match qualified candidates with positions based on their experience, abilities, schedule, location, and career interests
• Clearly communicate job responsibilities, schedules, pay rates, workplace expectations, and hiring processes
• Coordinate interviews, onboarding, start dates, and other steps throughout the hiring process
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates before and after placement
• Follow up with employees and clients to help identify and resolve potential issues before they become larger problems
• Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings
• Develop relationships with candidates so CPAY becomes a trusted resource when they are looking for their next opportunity
• Maintain accurate candidate notes, recruiting activity, and employment information within our ATS
• Work closely with the CPAY recruiting team to prioritize urgent openings and meet client hiring needs
• Balance multiple open positions, candidates, interviews, start dates in a fast-moving staffing environment
• Consistently work toward recruiting, placement, and retention goals

Experience That Could Translate Well

You don't need previous staffing or recruiting experience to succeed in this role.
