Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Transaction Diligence Specialists .

This is not a traditional employment role. Specialists operate as independent contractors and are activated through our certification, verification, and approval process.

Once approved, Transaction Diligence Specialists:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

• Support investors, fund managers, and sponsors during active transaction diligence

• Execute financial, commercial, and operational diligence workstreams

• Identify risks, red flags, and value drivers prior to deal execution

• Build a verified transaction diligence track record and Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers:
Senior Transaction Diligence Specialist · Lead Transaction Diligence Specialist · Transaction Diligence Specialist / Associate

Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Transaction Diligence Specialist

Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background:
Former private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, Big Four diligence, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction diligence experience.

Lead Transaction Diligence Specialist

Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience executing financial, commercial, or operational diligence on live transactions.

Transaction Diligence Specialist / Associate

Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical skills and experience supporting diligence or transaction analysis.

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Depending on certification approvals, Transaction Diligence Specialists may be engaged for:

Financial & Earnings Diligence

• Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis

• Revenue, margin, and cash flow sustainability review

• Working capital and normalization analysis

• Historical financial performance validation

Commercial & Operational Diligence

• Market sizing and competitive landscape analysis

• Customer, supplier, and concentration risk assessment

• Cost structure and operational scalability review

• KPI analysis and performance benchmarking

Risk Identification & Deal Readiness

• Identification of key transaction risks and red flags

• Downside scenario and stress testing

• Diligence findings summaries and risk matrices

• Diligence section support for investment memos and IC materials

Supporting Financial Analysis (as Approved)

• Targeted financial modeling to validate diligence conclusions

• Sensitivity and scenario analysis

• Data room review and issue tracking

Analysts may only perform work in categories they are approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment results and demonstrated diligence rigor—not tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning

1. Complete the Transaction Diligence Specialist Certification Assessment or approved training

2. Receive category-specific approvals (Due Diligence, Risk Analysis, Financial Review)

3. Get verified on the platform

4. Begin earning immediately through hourly diligence engagements on live transactions

No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.” Verified specialists are actively staffed onto diligence workstreams.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:

• Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

• Complete Initio Sphere Financial or Transaction Diligence Training

• Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Transaction Diligence Specialist receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score , which determines:

• Visibility to investors and diligence leads

• Approved diligence work categories

• Recommended hourly rates

• Eligibility for higher-complexity and higher-impact diligence engagements

Compensation & Deal Terms

• Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

• Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

• Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

• Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

• Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

• Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, rigor, or compliance issues

Transaction Diligence Specialists do not :

• Provide investment advice

• Solicit securities

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity

All work is strictly limited to analytical, diligence, and financial support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
