Cage and Count- Kalispel Cage Floor Supervisor Cusick, WA, USA Job Description Posted Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM Summary of Functions: Supervises and coordinates activities of cage personnel. Including procedural and regulatory compliance with an emphasis on team member development and guest satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians - State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Kalispel Casino Policies and Procedures. Oversees cage functions during assigned shift, including main cage, and the vault. Monitors and adjust staffing levels. Reviews and coordinates work schedules and assigns duties to cage personnel to ensure efficient operation of all cage activities. Oversee training of all cashiers to ensure adequately trained and competent cashiers. Coach others in an effort to correct substandard performance. Vault Responsibilities: Ensures the highest possible standards of guest satisfaction and Team Member relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner. Ensure quality guest service while handling cage issues, common inquiries and guest disputes and/or complaints. Serve as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit and asset to Kalispel Casino and encourages others to do the same. Assist in the development of both short and long-term goals for the benefit of the department and the overall property Evaluates, rewards and issues corrective action to Team Members. Always uses proper skills ie; respect, patience, attentiveness, etc., when dealing with guests and Team Members. Confer with subordinate personnel to discuss operations problems or explain procedure/internal control changes or practices. Audits payroll exception reports Assists in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal and NIGC regulations and ensures an adequate internal control system is in place. Safeguards Kalispel Casino’s bankroll. Oversee operations of all ATM’s, Redemption Centers and Currency Recyclers on premises. Ensure cage equipment is maintained and operational, and that supplies are ordered and available as needed. Administers daily cash receipts and disbursements, verification of transactions, reviews variances, over prescribed limits and application of federal cash reporting requirements. Verifies cashier transactions and cashier paperwork. Prepares quarterly and annual reviews of cage cashiers. Monitors cashier attendance and variances to ensure compliance with Kalispel Casino attendance and variance policies. May be required to assist in conducting investigations into resolution of variances to ensure compliance with Kalispel Casino policies and Team Member’s integrity levels. Oversee/prepares governmental forms such as; W-9, W-2G, 1042S and CTRC. Approves chip cash outs equal to or exceeding $1,200 per guest. Approves VGD cash outs or promotional pay outs equal to or exceeding $1,200 per transaction. Prepares and audits Title 31 paperwork to ensure compliance with government regulations. Studies cage arrangements and workflow to determine expediency of installing new or improved equipment and/or procedures. Ensure all work areas are organized and clean and products are properly stored and rotated. Learns, comprehends and complies with all casino policies and procedures, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Gaming Regulations PCI and Title 31 requirements. Ensures control/protection of casino assets. Assists in the establishment of procedures for the effective implementation of the Slot Manager’s or Casino Operations Manager’s directives. Assists in the preparation of complex reports, correspondence, charts, layouts, forms, handbooks, memoranda and other information and instructions. Properly distribute and monitor necessary funds to other revenue outlets and ability to show appropriate records of all available funds at all times. Required to trouble shoot cage equipment in the absence of IT, Slot Tech or other vendor assistance. Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record. May be required to be a panelist for Internal Review Boards. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises 5 – 10 team members in the Cage Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the casino’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience Two years casino experience in a cage environment or two years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of both. Skills & Abilities Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software. Knowledge of standard cage and internal control policie s , procedures and practices. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have decision-making capabilities, experience in directing others, and planning. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions and percentages to practical solutions. Ability to properly use and teach multiple operating systems for gaming purposes. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with government officials, department heads, Team Members, guests, vendors and the general public. Skill in effectively communicating information through verbal and written correspondence to department heads, Team Members, guests, vendors and the general public. Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills. Basic knowledge of personnel practices and employment laws. Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screen. Other Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License. Completion and passing of Title 31 training. Valid driver’s license (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle). Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as required.
