JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Assembler 1 Division: Assembly Department General Purpose: Assembles of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner. Essential Functions: Assembles product using basic hand tools and techniques Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English language Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible Maintains a clean, safe working environment Performs other duties as requested Qualifications: One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency Skills and Abilities: Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals Physical Demands Must have to the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assist Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
