We’re looking for a Part-Time Account Manager – State Farm Agent Team Member to join our local agency! Our focus is on providing excellent service, building lasting policy holder relationships, understanding changing insurance needs, and continuing to grow our connection with the community. POSITION Part-Time Account Manager – State Farm Agent Team Member Manage policy holder relationships and account responsibilities—not employees. Contribute to service, retention, new policy holder acquisition, and agency growth. LOCATION & SCHEDULE 6003 S. Salina St., Ste. 6, Syracuse, NY 13205 In-office position — no remote positions. Up to 20 hours per week, with flexible, agreed-upon days and times designed to meet your scheduling needs and the needs of the business. COMPENSATION $20–$25/hour, based on experience, skills, and insurance industry knowledge. Plus commission opportunities on eligible new sales. LICENSES REQUIRED Applicants must currently hold both applicable New York State licenses: Property & Casualty Life, Accident & Health Both licenses are required for this Account Manager opening. Learn more about obtaining your insurance licenses and preparing for potential future opportunities: WHAT YOU’LL DO Manage incoming calls, texts, and emails and provide organized follow-up Build and maintain strong policy holder relationships Assist with account servicing, policy changes, questions, documentation, payments, and follow-up Learn about policy holders’ changing needs and identify opportunities for appropriate insurance reviews Help review auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance needs Support policy holders during the claims process, helping connect them with the appropriate Claims Team and assisting with follow-up Schedule appointments and maintain accurate, organized follow-up Assist with new policy holder acquisition, prospect and quote follow-up, and agency growth activities Identify opportunities for new business and additional insurance needs Assist with referral partners, local businesses, community relationships, and marketing initiatives Help provide an experience that strengthens policy holder satisfaction, retention, and feedback WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Strong communication and interpersonal skills Relationship-focused and enjoys helping people Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Strong follow-through and personal accountability Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft Office Willing to learn, adapt, and continue developing professionally Comfortable contributing to both policy holder service and agency growth Previous insurance agency, account management, sales, marketing, or service experience is a plus.
