We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join a Product Services team for a financial services firm in Stamford, Connecticut on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is eager to build hands-on experience across fund operations, financial reporting, and analytical support while working in a collaborative hybrid environment. The role offers broad exposure to mutual fund oversight, budgeting activities, regulatory review, and board reporting, making it an excellent fit for someone who communicates effectively, stays organized, and adapts quickly to changing priorities.

Objective:

Assume progressively complex responsibilities in across financial reporting, fund accounting, tax and valuation services in support of Product Services. The role requires strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables within established deadlines. The individual will work closely with internal teams on business initiatives while building effective working relationships across the organization to analyze financial information, analyze and identify issues, and support a strong control environment across mutual funds, alternative investment products, and ETFs.

Core Responsibilities:

· Review and analyze regulatory and financial reporting filings, including monthly N-PORT, quarterly holdings, semi-annual and annual reports, for mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investment products (e.g., private credit, private equity, interval and tender offer funds)

· Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to validate the accuracy and completeness of daily fund Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations

· Support tax administration activities, including data review and validation, and support the preparation of the Fund’s monthly, quarterly, and annual distributions and year end tax reporting.

· Perform valuation reviews and control checks to assess reasonableness, identify exceptions, and support timely issue resolution

· Support ad hoc requests and projects related to alternative investment products including review of general partner notices, daily profit and loss reconciliations, tracking unfunded commitments and credit facility activity, etc.

· Assist with asset and cash reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of reconciling items

· Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of recurring internal and external fund reports

· Support the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of key financial metrics and operational data

· Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, efficiency, and scalability

• Work across multiple priorities in a hybrid setting, collaborating on site in Stamford, Connecticut Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday

Skills and Attributes:

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Strong understanding of mutual fund accounting, with the ability to analyze transactions and journal entries and balance sheet items like net income and capital

· Understanding of financial products, stocks, bonds, derivatives

· Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across functions

· Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including evaluating issues, assessing risk, investigate root causes, and recommend practical solutions

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deliverable deadlines, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience:

· Preferably 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, and/or accounting

· Experience supporting financial reporting for registered investment companies

· Experience with alternative investment products, preferred

· ETF operational or reporting experience, preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft Copilot, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Familiarity with AI-enabled tools with an interest in leveraging technology to enhance workflows

• Ability to complete a required skills assessment with a score of 70% or higher.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
