Director of Commercial Leasing

Established and growing real estate investment firm seeks an experienced Retail Leasing Broker to head up our leasing efforts for owned and managed properties. This person will source new tenants for the firm’s large existing portfolio of commercial assets (predominately retail with some office and warehouse) and develop strategies that create value for each asset.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze tenant mix and develop leasing plans for each asset.
• Source prospects via in-person meetings, industry conferences, email marketing, mailers, etc.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness and operational experience of prospects.
• Negotiate Letters of Intent.
• Support Commercial Lease Administrator during lease negotiation process.
• Compile and maintain updated local market comparative rent data, e.g. CoStar.
• Prepare and communicate leasing reports and status updates needed by cross-functional teams.
• Cultivate existing and develop new relationships with brokers in the industry.
• Lead small team of salespeople and their efforts leasing in house and 3rd party assets.

Qualifications:

• Must have an established network of commercial tenants.
• Must have a valid NJ brokerage license.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (MBA a plus) and a minimum of five (5) years experience in commercial real estate leasing (Director Level, a plus).
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and CoStar.

Compensation:

• Salary plus commission to the right candidate.
