Property Accountant Specialist
Location: Downtown Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: $25$28/hour
Schedule: Fully in-office for the first 6 months; after 6 months, strong performers may work from home 1 day/week.
About the Opportunity
A growing Indianapolis-based real estate organization is looking for a Property Accountant Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting, administrative, or data analysis experience who is looking to grow their career in commercial property accounting.
The team is very open on background and is willing to train the right person. The biggest priorities are finding someone who is professional, detail-oriented, prepared, and great with clients and customers.
What You'll Do
- Provide daily accounting support to commercial tenants and onsite property teams across the portfolio
- Manage commercial tenant ledgers, including posting and reversing payments, creating and reversing charges, and resolving accounting issues
- Enter and maintain accurate tenant charges, including rent, CAM, and additional rent schedules in Entrata
- Coordinate monthly commercial tenant ACH payments with Property Accountants
- Communicate with tenants and internal teams to resolve questions and accounting discrepancies
What We're Looking For
- 23+ years of administrative, data analysis, or accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication and strong client/customer-facing skills
- Someone who is organized, prepared, and comfortable interacting with different people
- Property management experience is a plus, but not required
