ASCP Certified EKG Technician - PRN

Job Summary: Provide essential cardiopulmonary diagnostic services to patients, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to physicians. This role supports patient care by performing non-invasive procedures in alignment with departmental policies and healthcare standards. Essential Responsibilities: Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Schedule, record, report, and maintain files for electrocardiograms, Holter monitors, stress tests, and echocardiograms. Perform non-invasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures under physician orders after completing required training and competency evaluations. Collect brief cardiopulmonary histories by asking relevant questions prior to testing. Maintain statistical and productivity records for the department. Process patient billing according to procedures performed. Participate as a member of the Code Blue Team. Apply sound judgment and specialized medical skills to care for patients considering their age, diagnosis, and physical abilities. Previous healthcare experience is preferred. Cross-training in secretarial duties may be necessary. Work Shift: Varied shifts within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States.
