Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and establish personalized treatment plans focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously and make evidence-based adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure alignment with physicians' and other therapists' strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and methods that can be performed at home to maintain health improvements.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and advanced modalities to address each patient's specific needs.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring the highest professional standards in all therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on the orthopedic patient population, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility and functionality. You will work specifically with individuals across various age groups, including geriatric clients who often require specialized care and rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a patient caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly within a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility.
• Experience working with the geriatric population is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with orthopedic conditions.
• Commitment to professional development through continuing education and active engagement in clinical training sessions.

Compensation and Benefits
