Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive, age-specific nursing care to emergency room patients using the nursing process to promote, maintain, and restore health. Ensures patient safety and comfort while delivering efficient, relationship-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and determine immediate care needs.
• Implement individualized care plans based on nursing assessments and clinical protocols.
• Utilize technical equipment such as monitors, sphygmomanometers, and thermometers to meet patient needs.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately while maintaining confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and professional development within the emergency care setting.

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license required.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of nursing processes, clinical practices, and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency with monitoring devices and clinical therapies.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with strong communication skills.
• Previous ER nursing experience preferred but not mandatory.
