Open Rank in Construction Management Job Posting Number: 2027014TTL Position Description The Department ofEngineering Technology invites applications for atenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor,Associate Professor, or Professor in Construction Management. This position is designed for individuals whose primary focus is onresearch, scholarly, and creative activities that enhance theresearch mission of the university, with a strong emphasis onmentoring and supervising PhD students. The successful candidatewill play a critical role in supporting doctoral studentprogression, including dissertation development, research design,and publication. The position carries expectations for actively mentoring doctoralstudents in their own research throughout their academic journey;conducting externally funded research producing high-impactscholarly work; and teaching graduate level courses. Responsibilities Mentor and supervise PhD students, including dissertationadvising and research development. Contribute to the growth and structure of the PhD program inConstruction Management. Support doctoral students through key milestones, includingproposal development, research execution, and publication. Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded researchprogram. Lead and manage research teams that include graduate anddoctoral students. Publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Collaborate with faculty, industry, and external researchpartners. Required Qualifications For all ranks: Earned doctoral degree in construction management, constructionengineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field. Demonstrated research competence and scholarlycontributions. Evidence of research productivity, including peer-reviewedpublications. Demonstrated ability or strong potential to mentor graduate andPhD students. Excellent Oral and Written English Language skills. For Associate Professor: Minimum of five years of independent, externally fundedresearch experience. Demonstrated record of sustained scholarly contributions. Experience mentoring graduate or doctoral students. For Professor: Minimum of ten years of independent, externally funded researchexperience. Demonstrated national or international recognition in thefield. Significant experience mentoring PhD students and supervisingdissertation work. Record of leadership in research programs and professionalorganizations. Preferred Qualifications Experience graduating doctoral students or serving ondissertation committees. Established record of securing external funding. Experience leading interdisciplinary or industry-sponsoredresearch. Alignment with Construction Management research areas such asrisk analysis, project delivery, financial controls, operations, ordecision-making.
