Data Architect

The Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data architecture that supports organizational objectives and adheres to established data governance frameworks such as DCAM and DMBOK. This role ensures the integrity, integration, and stewardship of the organization’s data while helping develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures that promote consistent data management practices. The Data Architect oversees complex data requirements, evaluates emerging technologies, and applies deep technical expertise across cloud solutions, ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and integration workflows. Working closely with both business and technical teams, this position defines requirements, builds scalable solutions, and contributes to the long-term data strategy for the organization. The role also provides leadership and guidance on enterprise data initiatives, directs project execution, and partners with information systems teams and business stakeholders to maximize data utilization.

Key responsibilities:

• designing and implementing data architecture solutions
• monitoring data standards, procedures, integrity, and integration
• developing and managing data integration processes and ETL workflows
• consulting with stakeholders to define requirements and recommend solutions
• analyzing data needs for existing and proposed systems
• evaluating new technologies for potential adoption
• developing and supervising project work plans
• guiding team members on specialized projects
• identifying strategies for long-term planning
• serving as project lead for data-related software products.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and this position is exempt from overtime compensation.

Skills and Experience:

Successful candidates will demonstrate thorough knowledge of computer hardware and software capabilities, database software and definition languages, data dictionaries, programming and testing, data communications and operating systems, and data warehouse architecture. They should possess extensive knowledge of current developments in data management, strong analytical abilities, the capacity to apply technical theories and methodologies, and the ability to design complex data architectures. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to coordinate the work of others, and the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation, and should have technical awareness of Azure, AWS, and Azure Databricks environments.
