We’re building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.**General Summary**Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.**Essential Job Accountabilities*** Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.* Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.* Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.* Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.* Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.* Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.* Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.* Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.* Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.**Education*** Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting**Work Experience*** 3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred* Experience with construction accounting and Viewpoint Vista required**Knowledge, skills, and abilities*** Advanced computer spreadsheet skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP* Analytical skills**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
