Missouri/Kansas BES Project Delivery Leader

HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group seeks experienced professionals for the position of Missouri/Kansas BES Project Delivery Leader (PDL). In this leadership role, you will report to the Missouri/Kansas BES Business Group Manager (BGM) and collaborate with the BGM to promote consistent project management processes, quality, and oversight of project delivery across the Business Group (BG). Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers. Lead and monitor development and training of BES staff in technical and business competencies across all area offices. Oversee workload balancing and ensure qualified staffing of project teams. Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvement. Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers. Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement, including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned. Lead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and losses. Lead the Area mentoring initiative. Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter experts. Work with the Area Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area, corporate policy and MOA. Oversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practices. Provide leadership to assigned business class leaders, including the cross‑sector leaders. Collaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders. Participate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation. Support area activities related to hiring and retaining key staff. Serve as a champion for BGX opportunities. Support communication and coordination within all business groups. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience developing, managing, and leading multi‑discipline project delivery teams. Proven history of delivering high quality, profitable and successful building facility projects. Extensive knowledge and experience with systems and PM tools for effective project management and delivery. Extensive industry experience in delivering facility projects across market sectors such as Healthcare, Mission Critical, and/or Industrial. Demonstrated experience with managing and leading diverse teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience. Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams; commitment to quality, improvement and HDR values. Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand. Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers. Active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture is a must.
