About the Position

Job Title: ER Float Pool Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: 2 years of Emergency Department experience Description: Candidates are expected to float within the designated zone. Travelers are responsible for obtaining housing within the required radius. Schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Shifts may be assigned 1 to 2 hours before the start time based on staffing needs. Travelers should not miss more than 3 shifts in the 13-week contract. Shifts are 12 hours long, and weekend work is required every other week. Orientation lasts between 2 to 3 days. This position involves treating a variety of patients, including those with abdominal pain, trauma, and stroke. Nurse-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5, depending on acuity. Position requires ability to read and interpret telemetry strips. Point of care lab testing will be performed by the nurses. Travelers will be required to assist in triage duties. Security will be present in-house 24/7. This role is essential in providing high-quality emergency care to patients.
