How you create impact

As an Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist, you will support air import operations for customer-specific accounts, helping ensure shipments are coordinated accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role blends operational execution with customer communication, so you will manage day-to-day shipment activity while also partnering directly with customers and internal teams to keep freight moving and expectations aligned.

You will coordinate bookings, documentation, shipment monitoring, and deviation follow-up while working closely with Customer Care, gateways, warehouses, customs teams, carriers, vendors, and other operational partners. You will help support a growing Los Angeles-based team as they take on new account volume, bringing flexibility, ownership, and a collaborative approach to daily operations.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage assigned accounts with independence, communicate clearly, and jump in where needed to support team coverage and shifting business needs.

What we would like you to bring

• Experience in airfreight, air import operations, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related transportation environment.
• Basic understanding of airfreight terminology, shipment flow, documentation, routing, carrier coordination, and operational follow-up.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, internal teams, suppliers, carriers, warehouses, customs partners, and other stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage assigned accounts independently while staying connected with supervisors, managers, and team members.
• Flexibility to support different accounts or coverage needs as business volume changes.
• Comfort working in a newer team environment where processes, account ownership, and coverage needs may continue to evolve.
• A collaborative, service-minded approach with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Openness to schedule flexibility, including potential overtime, weekend coverage, or adjusted start times as needed.

Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. The base salary for this position is $70,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
