Athletic Trainer Casual Professional Wooster Community Hospital, Wooster, OH, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 3168 Salary Range: $25.30 To $35.20 Hourly About the Role: As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries related to physical activity and sports. Your primary objective will be to ensure the health and safety of athletes and physically active individuals by developing and implementing comprehensive injury prevention programs. You will collaborate closely with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to provide immediate care and rehabilitation plans tailored to each individual's needs. This role demands continuous assessment and monitoring of athletes' physical conditions to facilitate safe return-to-play decisions. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to optimizing athletic performance while minimizing injury risks across diverse populations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Current state licensure or registration as required by the state of employment. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and sports-related injuries. Ability to perform emergency care and first aid procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related discipline. Experience working with collegiate or professional athletes. Advanced certifications such as CPR, AED, and First Responder training. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Continuing education in specialized areas such as concussion management or orthopedic rehabilitation. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of athletes' physical conditions to identify injury risks and existing injuries. Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs. Provide immediate care and first aid for acute injuries during practices and competitions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, coaches, and athletes to coordinate treatment plans and ensure effective communication. Maintain detailed records of injuries, treatments, and progress to monitor recovery and inform future care. Educate athletes and coaching staff on proper training techniques, nutrition, and injury prevention strategies. Stay current with the latest research and advancements in sports medicine and athletic training practices. Skills: The required skills enable you to accurately assess and manage athletic injuries, ensuring timely and effective treatment. Your expertise in anatomy and physiology supports the development of personalized rehabilitation programs that promote optimal recovery. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating athletes on injury prevention. Proficiency in emergency care allows you to respond swiftly to acute injuries during athletic events. Preferred skills, such as experience with EMR systems and advanced certifications, enhance your ability to document care accurately and stay informed on best practices, ultimately improving patient outcomes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
