Details ICU setting with option to work 36 or 48 hours per week 3x12 hour night shifts from 18:30 to 7:00 Patient ratio of 1:2 Weekend shifts required Floating required to like units within scope as needed, with brief orientation provided EPIC charting experience preferred Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required prior to start Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU experience required Certifications required: ACLS and NIHSS; BLS preferred Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care, and starting/maintaining IVs Respiratory skills required: chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning Medication management skills required: continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Neurological skills preferred: EVD, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, and post neurosurgery management Additional required skills include cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation/management, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, IV insulin protocols, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction Experience in Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU settings preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as locals are not accepted Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted Limited RTO auto-approval available, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation Onsite orientation includes required training modules American Traveler Job ID P-728957.
