Make an Impact as a Senior Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Join a fast-moving, team-centered operation in northern Cincinnati, Ohio (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky). You’ll report directly to the Head of Engineering and operate with a broad scope of authority in an empowered, small-company setting where your decisions move programs forward.

A day in the role

You start by reviewing a new composite component design with Quality and Production, then draft an illustrated manufacturing plan that clarifies every step—from lay-up through cure. Midday, you lead an MRB review to drive cause-and-corrective action on a discrepant part. In the afternoon, you finalize BOMs and outside purchase specifications tied to engineering drawings, sync up with Contracts on a new order, and answer a customer’s process question to keep their delivery on track.

What you’ll deliver

• Robust manufacturing processes for composite, compression molded, and resin transfer molded parts.
• Clear, visual manufacturing plans, bills of material, and supplier specifications aligned to engineering drawings/specifications.
• Tooling concepts and improvements that elevate quality, repeatability, and throughput.
• Hands-on production support to ensure on-time delivery.
• Effective communication with customers to resolve process, drawing, and specification issues.
• Project Management leadership when assigned, with ownership for scope, schedule, and risk.
• Active participation in MRB with disciplined Cause & Corrective Action.
• Coordination across Production, Contracts, and Quality for both new and sustaining work.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5–10 years of engineering experience, ideally in aerospace composites.
• Working knowledge of hand lay-up and autoclave cure for aerospace composite parts (plus).
• Experience in inspection/manufacturing tooling design and calibration (plus).
• A hands-on mindset suited to a small, collaborative company.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to partner with shop floor teams, leadership, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; CAD familiarity with NX or CATIA preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves in both shop and office environments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods as needed.
