Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and will not be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. Structural heart scrub experience is a must; do not screen if this experience is not present. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week. Candidates must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. The final start date will be confirmed on the Tuesday prior to the start week. Unit will accept first-time travelers; locals are also accepted with a rate difference. Skills required include scrub, monitor, PA lines and telemetry, structural heart, and TAVR experience. Cath Lab procedure experience must include balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and Rotablader. Certifications required are ACLS and BLS, with at least one of RCIS or ARRT. Preferred skills include circulating, IV start, and conscious sedation experience. Additional preferred procedures include Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, and coil embolization. The target ratio is 3 rooms. Call requirement includes weekend call, with a total of 9 to 11 days in a 6-week schedule, which may include 1-2 weekends, depending on rotation. Weekend call coverage is also required. Floating is rare but may occur to another unit. Some of the complex procedures performed in the lab include complex PCIs. Unit systems utilized include EPIC and MAC Lab. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. Modules required are non-billable and may take 2-10 hours. All testing must be completed within 48 hours.
