PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

Position : Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health – Outpatient Services (PRN) Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age. Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record. Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate quality improvement (QI) assessments. Assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes, documenting findings per policies. Oversee and supervise the shift, delegating tasks such as group observation, meal supervision, etc. Ensure staff follow nursing policies and procedures, delivering exemplary patient care. Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly, including notifying the physician. Follow hospital policy for medication administration. Use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients. Deliver quality nursing care to execute treatment plan goals per hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies. Assist with or perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients. Qualifications Associate’s degree in nursing required. Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations. 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred. CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
