What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you will:

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and personal care.
• Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed.
• Support the development of daily living and independent living skills.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, community activities, and social events.
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
• Implement individualized support plans and service goals.
• Document services provided and report significant observations as required.
• Promote person-centered care, dignity, choice, and respect.
• Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of individuals receiving services.

QualificationsRequired

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to successfully complete:
  • State and federal criminal background checks
  • Drug screening
  • Pre-employment physical and PPD screening

Preferred

• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, healthcare, human services, or a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Additional education in healthcare, psychology, social work, education, nursing, or a related field.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Weekend availability required
• Additional flexibility may be needed to support program operations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical support duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to assist individuals with personal care and mobility needs.
• Ability to maintain active engagement and supervision during overnight hours.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
