Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and prior Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Night shift, 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 PM-7:00 AM at the main campus
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
• Charting is done in Epic
• Uses PACS, Siemens, and Sectra equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred, with 6 months Level I trauma experience required
• BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and SC state license required (license required if applicable)
• Epic experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with PIV starts and Siemens equipment required
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies
• Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and vascular CTA preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and radiation safety
• Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work in a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level I Trauma hospital with 865 staffed beds
• Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal studies with and without contrast
• Attendance at all staff meetings is expected
• Scrub color requirement is teal top with black bottom
• First-time travelers considered if they have relevant experience
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel employee
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered case-by-case at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
