Job Title : Microsoft Power BI & Fabric Engineer

Location: Plano, TX



Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power BI & Fabric Engineer to manage, govern, secure, and optimize enterprise Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments. The role will focus on platform administration, capacity management, workspace governance, security, monitoring, automation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, and tenant settings .

Manage Power BI users, roles, permissions, gateways, licenses, and security .

Establish governance standards for RLS, authorization, naming conventions, workspace taxonomy, and Dev/Test/Prod lifecycle .

Monitor platform usage, performance, auditing, capacity, and availability.

Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and license optimization .

Manage data source connectivity, gateways, dataflows, and BI content migration.

Automate administration and management using REST APIs and scripting.

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and compliance .

Partner with Data Architecture and Cloud teams on enterprise BI/Fabric architecture and integration.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform infrastructure SMEs.

Required Skills

E xperience in Power BI/Fabric infrastructure, architecture, and operations.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Administration, Workspaces, Capacities, Tenant Settings, and Gateways .

Knowledge of Power BI security, RLS, governance, monitoring, and licensing .

Experience with Fabric workloads: Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering, and Real-Time Analytics.

Experience with REST APIs, automation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise BI architecture .

Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
