Power Plant Engineer

Qualifications Experience working on behalf of an Owner in an EPC environment (utility or municipality preferred) Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls systems Experience with: GE 7FA.05 or LM6000 gas turbines GE Mark IV or Allen Bradley control systems Ability to read logic diagrams Experience supporting commissioning + startup activities Warranty administration/management experience Strong communication skills (working with EPC contractors + internal teams) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Position Overview This role serves as the Owner’s primary point of contact during commissioning, ensuring systems are complete, tested, and ready for turnover from the EPC contractor to OG&E operations. This person will play a key role in coordinating across commissioning, startup, and integration teams to drive project success. Key Responsibilities Oversee and verify commissioning testing; document and report defects Manage punch list development, tracking, and completion Coordinate with startup, outage management, and integration teams Monitor EPC contractor performance, including LOTO activities and progress Review and support commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules Validate performance guarantees and contractor deliverables Coordinate system turnover documentation to operations Track risks, milestones, and commissioning progress; provide reporting Participate in daily and weekly project meetings and provide updates Plusses O&M Technician background ( GE 7FA + Mark VI preferred ) Experience helping write startup procedures or train team members Ability to troubleshoot basic turbine/system issues #J-18808-Ljbffr
