HR Generalist

Job Title

Duties:

• Benefits admin – qualifying events, open enrollment, questions
• Recruiting for non-union roles
• Heavy leave of absence admin
• Some employee relations – that is usually escalated to me
• Employee events/charity committee
• Heavy answering of ee questions
• New hire orientation/light training presentations
• Government compliance reporting
• Payroll change reporting – hires/terms/changes
• Prepare offers and term paperwork

Required Skills:

• SHRM or PHR Certification preferred but must be willing to sit for the test if not
• Degree in HR, business or communications preferred
• Solid excel skills for reporting
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices
• The highest level of confidentiality and attention to detail
• Ideally wanting 3-5 years in a generalist role
• Looking for someone who can multitask in a fast-paced environment – we have 170 non-union which is our primary focus but we do extend offers/pre-employment/orientation and LOA admin for 370 union ee's in 4 factories.

Preferred Skills:

• ADP experience a plus
• Union exposure a plus but not required
• Creative skills a huge plus – experience with publisher, SharePoint, forms creation
