Calibration Technician I is an entry-level position that requires either education in the electronics/calibration field or at least one (1) year of calibration experience. Calibration Technicians at this level typically can calibrate low-end process instrumentation in up to three (3) disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Dimensional or Pressure). Proficiency and expertise are determined in accordance with Transcat’s technician skills progression matrix. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc. Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques Maintain calibration standards Working knowledge and competency in at least three 3 disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.) Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards Other duties as assigned Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule Primary Objectives Learn fundamental calibration skills and techniques Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently Develop skills necessary to advance to Calibration Technician II position, which includes a working knowledge and competency in at least four (4) disciplines and expert competency in one (1) discipline Deliver on Transcat’s Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001) Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr
